Requesting Reserves

Resource Types

What Kinds of Resources Can I Use?

  • Online resources from our library:
    • eBooks
    • journal articles
    • theses and dissertations
    • conference proceedings
    • streaming videos and more
  • Print books from our collection
    • You may request purchase of materials, however, keep in mind that not all books are available in electronic format through our vendors, and not all eBooks have unlimited access usage
    • Typically, no more than 10-20% of a print work can be made available digitally through our Access Copyright License. If you require more than 20% of a print work for your class, you should request to have the book placed on Print Reserves in the library or have copies ordered to the bookstore
  • Resources outside of the library including:
    • Web resources
    • PDF documents with citation information
    • YouTube videos
    • Open access or Creative Commons licensed materials

Please allow 4-6 weeks for processing of new course reserve requests and communicate your request well in advance of the start of your course.
