The Centre for Equitable Library Access (CELA) provides users with print disabilities access to a variety of accessible formats including Braille, audio, DAISY and e-text through membership at their local public library branch.
CELA membership is available to those who can provide verification of their disability. Their collection focuses on best sellers, with an emphasis on Canadian content. Users can also suggest content for CELA to add to its collection.
OCAD U students, faculty and staff may also request an accessible format for materials required for course work or their job duties. Students registered with Student Accessibility Services (SAS) can meet with their Accessibility Advisor and place a request for course material in an alternate format. For personal use, faculty and staff should contact People & Culture for further assistance. For further inquiries, please contact newformats@ocadu.ca.
