Booking the OCAD U Library's Learning Zone

The Learning Zone is a studio-based library space. It's alternative work area where users can collaborate with other students, faculty, and staff or seek support from library staff.

The Learning Zone can be booked for a wide variety of events. We have hosted student group meetings, workshops, presentations and speakers, a fashion show, a break dancing competition and a karaoke night, to name just a few of our past events. Though we are open to all sorts of creative ideas, we do not offer exclusive use of the space. The Learning Zone is deeply committed to supporting the student experience, so all events must co-exist with regular student use of the space. This may include students entering the space during an event, using computers at the far walls of the space, printing assignments in the back corner, etc. Specific areas of the space can be reserved, but we do not offer you exclusive use of the whole space.

Usage of the space is dependent on scheduling of other events and activities, the time of year (the fall and winter see heavy use while summer attendance is much lower), the time of day and the specific needs of your event.
